The history throughout Nashville, TN is very extensive. The train first arrived in Nashville, TN in 1854. It connected the cities of Chattanooga and Nashville. In 1859 they added a rail line to Louisville, KY. A place that was added was on the corner of 10th and Broadway which would become central to train travel from Nashville, TN. The Union Station was Nashville's train station beginning in 1900. The building was built by the Louisville and Nashville Terminal Company.
