A Four State Western Experience

Over the past couple days I asked several times about traveling out west. Being someone who has traveled to the lower 48 and seen so many amazing places whether it be out west, the northeast, the south, and other amazing places here us a great experience and itinerary to see four western states in one trip.

You'll want to fly into Salt Lake City and rent a car. I generally will rent a car through expedia.com a few months ahead of my travel plans. This ensures I have a rental and can shop for prices. Once you land in Salt Lake City and have your rental car, there is a restaurant you'll want to hit up immediately. Moochie's is an Icon sandwich shop in the area and offers amazing Philly Cheese Steaks and Meatball Sandwiches. After this dining experience, you'll want to head north to Idaho.

The city you'll want to set your GPS to is Idaho Falls, Idaho. It's a great town in Idaho to visit with great fly fishing on the South Fork of the Snake River. Jimmy's Fly Shop will hook you up with all the flies and equipment you need. For stays, I found the Comfort Suites very accommodating. It was right in the heart of the city and the rooms were clean and beds comfortable plus a very friendly staff. From Idaho Falls, you're only an hour and a half from Yellowstone National Park.

Drive north from Idaho Falls to the West Gate of Yellowstone National Park. Prior to entering the park, you'll want to hit up the town of West Yellowstone. There is plenty of shopping and great restaurants. One restaurant to try is the Slippery Otter. The restaurant is amazing and offers very creative dishes and burgers. including bison, elk, and other wild game and beef dishes.

Yellowstone is amazing, and the amount of wildlife and scenery you'll see is incredible. From Elk, Grizzly, Deer, Bison, and other incredible wildlife, it's like stepping back into American history. Plus, Old Faithful is a must-see and worth the wait.

After a stop in Yellowstone, head north again to the town of Bozeman, Montana. It is an incredible town with great food, shops, and outdoor experiences. You can look at flying out of Bozeman with incredible four state experiences. #ridingwithkurt
