Yesterday, I had a discussion with a couple of individuals from Miami about areas around Nashville that offer an area of upscale experience. Ironically, I was in this area yesterday having lunch plus checking out a spa, salon, and quaint little shop. The area of Belle Meade offers so much to see and do. Plus, many of the stops in Belle Meade were recommended to me by post-it notes.
A neat little dining experience in Belle Meade is the picnic. Located off of Highway 100, this iconic southern dining experience offers great breakfast and lunch items. The tea punch is absolutely amazing, while their various sandwiches, salads, quiches, and other tasty items are amazing. The chicken salad sandwich and Banana Nut Bread were very tasty. The staff is amazing and always friendly.
For a spa experience with a fantastic salon,check out Escape Day Spa and Salon. Full service salon and soap located next to The Picnic. Looking for afternoon Spa treatment or massage this is always an excellent stop to add.
Across from The Picnic is a quaint little shopping area. One shop to check out is Katy's Hallmark. They offer hallmark cards, gift ideas, journal items, and other neat local materials.
For history nearby, add Belle Meade Winery and Mansion as well as Cheekwood. Belle Meade Winery offers wine tastings and tours of these historical grounds. While Cheekwood is a gorgeous historical mansion that was built by the cheek family. Offers the families'original furniture, collections, art gallery ,and Botanical Garden.
For evening dining in Belle Meade, head to Sperry's. This historic steakhouse has been in Nashville since 1974. The upscale dining experience has even had individuals like Prince's William dine there in 2004. They offer steak, prime rib, seafood, a historical salad bar, plus even table side dishes like Banana's Foster. Plus, a wide selection of wine, cocktails, and other adult beverages.
