Yesterday, I took a rider who was from Ireland to Belle Meade. She provided some post-it note recommendations for Cork. I provided some history of the history of Nashville and her destination she was traveling to. Her stop was Belle Meade Mansion and Winery. If you haven't experienced this amazing location in Belle Meade, then you are missing out. The Belle Meade Winery and Mansion offers wine tastings, bourbon tastings, and tours. The wine is locally grown, while the Bourbon comes from Nelson Greenbrier Distillery located in Nashville at The Marathon Motor Works Village. The property began as a travelers rest on the trail near the property, which Today is known as Highway 70. The owners of the property began investing in the property and horses. From 1807 when the property was purchased by John Harding with the 250-acre tract of land to 1860 when the Harding family became one of the wealthiest land owners in Belle Meade. Today, the property can be viewed, toured, and enjoyed with the Mansion, original buildings of the property, and amazing wine along with incredible Bourbon. The grounds are awesome with large magnolias and oak trees along with the architecture of Belle Meade Mansion. They offer tours of the property as well as an amazing dining experience at Belle Meade Meat and three located on the property. There is a visitor center with a gift shop located on the first floor with where you purchase tickets. Additionally, there are plenty of other great restaurants nearby, including La Peep, Sam's Place, Sperry's, Coco's Italian Market, Sportsmans Grill, and The Picnic. Plus, you'll want to add Cheekwood when visiting the Belle Meade area, which is even offered an art gallery, botanical garden, and incredible architecture of the mansion. Finally, the majority of these stops for myself have even been recommended to me by post-it notes in the Belle Meade area. It's only twenty minutes from downtown Nashville and one you'll want to add when visiting the Nashville area. #ridingwithkurt
