Saturday is a big day in Nashville, especially with 2nd Avenue. There has been a transition with a particular bar that helped put Nashville on the map. Many don't know the history or significance of this original bar on 2nd Avenue, but the Wild Horse Saloon has plenty of history for Nashville.
In the mid 1900's before Broadway was popular and Nashville was still not the best place to travel along with country music, they were still trying to gain popularity. Country Music Television wanted to get as big as MTV. So what did they do they reached out to Opryland Hotel with the owners of Gaylord and pitched an idea. The two put a bar on 2nd Avenue, and CMT started streaming Live From The Wildhourse. This created all sorts of buzz in Nashville and Nationwide as people watching CMT network would see individuals line dancing and the occasional popular country music star sing at the now historical venue. It would eventually cause a huge domino effect with eventually Bridgestone Arena, Adelphia Collisium (which is now known as Nissan Stadium), and now the popularity of Broadway.
Last year, Luke Combs joined with the Opry Entertainment Group with the new transition on 2nd Avenue location, and this weekend, the new venue opens up. Category 10 will be opening their doors today, November 2nd, 2024. They have even already received a post-it note, and the experience at this location will be amazing. The menu offers shareables, along with salads, sandwiches, burgers, and entree items. Plus an extensive drink menu. Additionally, they will be having live music. This is definitely a venue you'll now want to add when visiting Nashville on 2nd Avenue. #ridingwithkurt
