Charleston, SC

Nine years ago, I moved from Charleston,  SC, back to Nashville, and it is an amazing town to visit.  Each area of Charleston has so many diverse attractions.  Doemwntown, Mount Pleasant,  Daniel Island,  James Island,  John's Island,  Wadmalaw, and various beaches.  If you're looking to add Charleston,  SC as a destination in 2025, here are some places to check out in the low country.

In Charleston:Carriage Tours - Worth every penny and provides a great history of Charleston.  Fleet Landing - Amazing dining on the Charleston Harbor South Carolina Aquarium - Sea Life meets low country with an awesome aquarium with incredible views. The Charleston City Market - Basket Weavers, vendors,  local shops,  and vendors on historical Meeting Street.  Charleston Place - Incredible upscale hotel with shopping and dining.  Make sure you make reservations at The Charleston Grill. Fort Sumter- Ferries to the historic park can be found at the Aquarium along with the muesem.

Outside of Charleston:

John's Island:

Angel Oak Tree - One of the largest oak trees in America. It offers a spiritual experience.  Tomato Shed Cafe - Owned by the Ambrose family, this legendary market and restaurant offers some incredible dining on John's Island.  Wild Olive - Incredible Italian Dining in the heart if the low country.

James Island:

James Island County Park - Hiking,  disc golf, dog park,  campgrounds,  fishing,  and even a water park in the summer.  Bohemian Bull - Incredible burgers with a great vibe.

Sullivan's Island:

Fort Moultrie - Built in the late during the American Revolutionary War, it was used in both the American Revolutionary War and Civil War. Obstinate Daughter - Amazing low country dining a amazing location.  Poe's Tavern - This was always aaiconic stop of mine with amazing fish tacos and burgers plus the ledgend of Edgar Allen Poe lives here.

These are some great stops to add when visiting Charleston,  SC area. Also, add Kiawa and the Sanctuary Hotel.  Some good months to visit are March through June and September through October.  Add Charleston, SC, as a place of travel in 2025. #ridingwithkurt
