Chattanooga, TN


Chattanooga, TN is a great mid size town to visit. The town located along the Smokey Mountains offers a variety of activities including some kid friendly places. Additionally, there is a rich history of Eastern Tennessee that can be seen here.

The Tennessee Aquarium can be found here and the venue offers a wide variety of sea life including many local fish that are found in the local rivers, lakes and streams throughout Tennessee. The aquarium also offers sea life from all over the world. It is highly recommended that you purchase your tickets in advance to make sure you optimize your experience.

Lookout Mountain is a historic stop with views overlooking the city of Chattanooga. The famous mountain is where during the American Civil War the Confederacy held the top defending against the Union advance. There are a couple of small museums and markers that offer a detailed look into the outcome of the Civil War Battlefield. Additionally, Rock City and Ruby Falls can be found here as well.

Additional stops include Lookout Mountain Incline Railway, Tennessee Valley Railroad Museum, Creative Discovery Museum, The Chattanooga Zoo, and Chickamauga Battlefield.

Restaurants to check out are Puckett's, STIR, Public House Restaurant, Flying Squirrel, and Bluegrass Grill.

Plenty of hotels are available in Chattanooga which include The Moxy, The Read House, and The Westin.


Chattanooga is definitely a hidden gem in Tennessee and you will not be disappointed with a stop here in the original Chattanooga Choo Choo town.
