Generally when you think of Nashville you think of Broadway but there are plenty of other great areas to explore. One area that offers history and luxury is Belle Meade. Located about 15 to 20 minutes west of downtown this area offers a few great experiences. One place that I generally recommend in Belle Meade is a mansion that offers history, art , and an incredible Botanical Garden along with seasonal events. Cheekwood Mansion and Botanical Gardens is an incredible stop and one that I have blogged about previously, but anyone that I have given a ride from there always recommends this historic estate. The mansion was built by the Cheek family and had influence into the area. The family is known for making their money in the grocery business and coffee industry. They were the creators and Brewers of Maxwell House Coffee. Beginning Saturday September 14th and running through October 27th, 2024 Cheekwood Harvest Fest begins. They offer everything fall for thus event including Pumpkins, Scarecrows, and other amazing Fall attractions. On Saturdays beginning on the 14th they will even offer live music near the visitor center along with some food trucks. This is an all ages event and place to check out and will not leave you disappointed when visiting Cheekwood. There are some great restaurants in close proximity to Cheekwood including Le Peep, Sperry's, Sam's Place, Sportsmans Grill, and Coco's Italian Market.
