Cheekwood Mansion Holiday Lights Belle Meade, TN

The Christmas season is upon Nashville, and there are plenty of great experiences to check out throughout the area. In the Belle Meade area, there is a historical stop that offers an amazing light display at night. Cheekwood offers their 10th Annual Holiday lights display.

The historic mansion offers an incredible light display with over a mile of walking trails through their amazing display that offers over a million lights. Each area of the Botanical Garden is decorated with different themes and lights. Additionally,  mansion has various Christmas trees in each room that represent different aspects, parts, and the state of Tennessee. The light event runs until January 5th, 2025, and begins daily at 4:30 pm and ends at 10:00 pm. Parking is available as well as a ride share drop-off and pick-up. There is a holiday marketplace that offers hot chocolate,  stores and other libations.

The mansion itself was built by the Cheek family.  The Cheek family  is known for the founding of Maxwell House Coffee and making their fortune off of grocery stores in the early years of Nashville. Today, the mansion has their original furniture plus acts as an art gallery with art peices by various artists, including various rotation art pieces, paintings,  silver, and other iconic displays.

For dining near Cheekwood, you have the following with many that have been recommended to me by post-it notes:

Sperry's - Incredible Steakhouse has been around since 1974. Sam's Place - Great sports bar.Sportsmans Grill- A Belle Meade staple with all sorts of great dishes. The Picnic - Southern cuisine with amazing sandwiches,  soups,  and salads.Le Peep - Great stop for breakfast and lunch. Waldo's - Known for chicken and other Southern dishes. Coco's Italian Restaurant - Italian dining at its finest in Belle Meade. Asahi - Quaint Sushi and Thai stop.

Belle Meade and Cheekwood is located about 20 minutes from downtown Nashville. It's a very historic area of Nashville that one should add when visiting. Definitely add to see the Annual Holiday Light Display at Cheekwood this Christmas season. #ridingwithkurt
