Yesterday, I was giving a ride to an individual from the airport, and we were chatting about various things to do in Nashville, especially those outside the city. One place I recommend to them that was recommended to me by post-it notes was Cheekwood.  This historic mansion is located in Belle Meade and is absolutely stunning.

The mansion was built by the Cheek family, who are the founders of Maxwell House Coffee. The property offers the original furniture,  collections,  art gallery,  and an incredible Botanical Garden.  Plus, this upcoming weekend, they have Music In The Beer Garden.  Great local bands will be performing on Saturday and Sunday. Plus, there are food trucks and other adult beverages.  On Saturday, April 26th,  2025, from 12 pm. to  2 p.m., Volcano Brothers will be performing.  This local band will be offering a mix of rock, reggae,  and tropical vibes. On Sunday, April 27th, from 11 am until 12:30 pm, John England and the Swingers and from 1:00 pm until 3:00 pm, Les Sabler will be performing.  John England provides Country Western, while Les Sabler provides a jazz style of music.  Additionally,  there are plenty of food trucks, including Blowin Smoke, Sarabhas Creamery, Hautewheels, Salsa Franklin Taco, Taste of Aloha, Chivanada, Gypsy Crepe, and Daddy’s Dogs.

This is one place that I generally highly recommend exploring when visiting Nashville.  The mansion is impressive along with the Botanical Garden. Plus, a weekend with live music and great food trucks will not leave you disappointed.  Add a stop at Cheekwood for your next great experiences in Nashville,  TN. #ridingwithkurt
