Sports is back in Nashville, TN, this upcoming weekend with football and a homerun derby. The Vanderbilt Commodores will be hosting the Virginia Tech Hokies as well as Tennessee State University will be hosting the Mississippi State Delta Devils. Additionally, at First Horizon Park, there is the MLB Home Run Derby X.
The Vanderbilt game will begin at 11:00 am and will be held at Vanderbilt Stadium. This is going to be a great game to attend with a SEC vs. ACC match up. There at concessions available as well as tailgating prior to the game. Plenty of restaurants near the stadium plus Centennial Park and the Parthenon are located across the way.
The Tennessee State University game is held at Nissan Stadium, and the game begins at 5:00 pm on Saturday. Limited parking is available by Nissan due to construction for the new stadium. You can look at being dropped off by the stadium and for pickup locations after the game walk across the Pedestrian Bridge across and look at the Joseph Hotel, 8th and Broadway, or 7th and Church Street. Concessions are available at Nissan Stadium.
At First Horizon Park on Saturday, the MLB Home Run Derby X will be taking place with some great hitters for this coed competition. This is an all ages event, and tickets are still available for this great baseball event. There are plenty of great restaurants located by First Horizon Park prior to the event, and concessions are available at the stadium. You can look at being dropped off and picked up by the stadium on Rosa L. Parks Boulevard. The event begins at 7:00 pm.
College Football plus a homerun derby in Nashville all on Saturday along with great food. This will be another fun weekend to check out some of the great pastimes in sports in Nashville. #ridingwithkurt
