Cumberland Plateau Tennessee

An area just east of Nashville to explore is the Cumberland Plateau.  It's about an hour east of Nashville around Cookeville and Crossville,  TN, along Interstate 40. It stretches north to south and even has places to see near Sewannee, TN, just off of Interstate 24. Plenty of hiking,  waterfalls,  and other great outdoor activities in this area. Additionally,  there are even swimming holes during the hot months in Tennessee, including Rock Island,  Cummings Falls,  Burgess Falls,  and Fall Creek Falls.  This a great area of Tennessee to explore if you're looking for a change of pace or looking to get out of the city.  There are picnic areas and great restaurants throughout this area, plus even a Buc-ee's on Interstate 40 in the Crossville area. In late September through October, the leaves begin to change if you're looking for the foliage in the fall. Definitely add this stop when planning your next travels to Tennessee.  #ridingwithkurt
