Fall Creek Falls Spencer, TN

Updated: 3 days ago

If you're looking to venture out of the Nashville area this weekend, there are many great areas to venture to. Yesterday, I was chatting with one of my riders who was from Wales about such places. Additionally,  while discussing travel also he provided me with some great recommendations for travel to Wales by post-it note.  There are plenty of great parks and outdoor hiking along with lakes, forests,  and waterfalls within Nashville and an hour to an hour and a half away. Especially with the Fall Foliage, you'll definitely want to check these areas out.

The Cumberland Plateau is an hour and a half away from Nashville. The area offers supreme beauty, especially this time of year.  There is one park that is a must-see when visiting the Cumberland Plateau.  Fall Creek Falls is the highest waterfall east of the Mississippi, with standing over 256 feet. It's located on the Cane Creek Gorge, and the park offers spectacular views of the falls and plenty of great foliage during this time of year. The park offers a great lodge,  restaurant, cabins,  and even camping sites. The park offers over 29,800 acres with waterfalls, cascades, gorges, and wildlife. The park also offers a great golf course with over 20,000 acres af sprawling recreation area. The course was designed by Joe Lee and is rated in the top 100 public golf courses to play.

This is an amazing park that offers a little bit of everything. The hiking, activities, the falls,  the beauty of the Cumberland Plateau, and Fall Creek Falls  along with golf.  This is a great area of Tennessee to add or check out when visiting Nashville and the state of Tennessee. #ridingwithkurt
