In the mid 1900s, Nashville emerged as the second largest city west of the Appalachian Mountains. The area around First Avenue during this time emerged as a warehouse district with the area that now sits first and second avenue. This area in the downtown Nashville area was part of the trade route along the Cumberland River. Market Street, now known as Second Avenue, was a home to various markets and shops that were part of this trade route. Today, this area is a part of the modern downtown Nashville with Fort Nashboro, live music, shops, dining, and hotels.
One hotel that was added over a year ago to First Avenue was the Four Seasons Hotel and Residence. This elegant hotel offers not an incredible stay but awesome dining with Mimo and Riviere. Mimo offers an amazing dining experience from the influences of Tuscany. For rooftop experiences along the first Avenue, the top of the Four Seasons Hotel offers Riviere an amazing view of downtown Nashville along with a menu that is influenced by the Mediterranean Riveria The Four Seasons Hotel is one of the tallest buildings in downtown Nashville with over forty-one floors. Additionally, the building is part of the residence with floors fifteen to forty-one.
Hampton Social - New England dining experience. Etch - Mediterranean Fusion Cuisine Riverhouse - Seafood and Steakhouse experience. Acme Feed and Seed - Southern Dining with great sandwiches and other delectable items. Plus an great rooftop. Whiskey River Saloon - Live music along with some great bar bites.
A stay at the Four Seasons Hotel offers a bit of elegance, history, fine dining, plus close proximity to Broadway and live music. Additionally, it's a short walk to all event places, including Bridgestone, Schermerhorn, the Ryman, and Country Music Hall of Fame.
