Thirty minutes south of Nashville lies the town of Franklin, TN. It's a charming town that has plenty of places to see and do. The main street itself is filled with shops and restaurants in which some are locally owned. Some of the great restaurants are the Red Pony, Puckett's, Grilled Cheeserie, Pieology, Mellow Mushroom, 55 South and McCreary's. Regardless of the time of year you can never go wrong with a visit to this gem of a town in Tennessee.

Also, 20 minutes south of Franklin is the town of Thompson Station. The reason I mention this is there is one restaurant you will want to dine at for sure. Circa Grill is to die for. The quaint restaurant offers a nice variety of menu items. The menu generally circulates depending on the season but the Scallops, Smoked Duck Breast, are amazing but the one thing you will want to try is the Circa Burger. It's topped with pimento cheese, Chipotle Mayo, Bacon Jam, and Buttered Pickles. Truly one of the best burgers you will try .

Between Franklin and Thompson Station you can find the historic battle of Franklin and visit the site that offers self guided tours.

This area has plenty of rich history and an area you will not want to miss on your visit to Tennessee.
