One area of Nashville to check out here in Nashville is Germantown. It's an area with an old Nashville feel but a modern area that is bustling with great restaurants and a couple of stops you'll not want to miss. Located just North of downtown the area was impacted by the Tornado that hit here in Nashville almost 3 years ago. The area has been retored, and just like it's neighbor, East Nashville, it is Nashville Strong.
Some great Restaurants to add to your lists in Germantown include the iconic Germantown Cafe is a great and historical experience in Germantown is the Germantown Cafe. The restaurant has been here for 20 years and even survived the tornado that impacted the quaint part of Nashville 3 years ago. Menu has a nice variety of appetizers, salads, sandwiches, and entrees. They are also known for their French Onion Soup. For Amazing seafood head to Henrietta Reds. Mexican head to Tomacco Taco. Other notable restaurants include 5th and Taylor, Waldo's Chicken, Steam Boys, and the food hall at the Farmers Market.
For historical stops check out the Tennessee State Museum next to the Farmers market. It's an amazing stop and offers a great history for Tennessee History, featuring individuals and moments that established this state as the Volunteer State.
Other stops include the Farmers Market and Bicentennial Mall State Park.
For the Baseball fan you can check out a Nashville Sounds game at the First Tennessee Park. It's a triple A team that has a great stadium and wonderful restaurants near by. The team is an affiliate of the Milwaukee Brewers.
In October check out the Oktoberfest celebration. Great German food and a fun festival experience.
A stop in Germantown is well worth it. It has a bit of Nashville Charm with a modern twist.
