kurtobersteadt

The SEC Men's Basketball Tournament continues throughout the weekend with the quarter final, semi-final, and finals Friday through Sunday at Bridgestone Arena.  That is not the only event going on this weekend in Nashville, TN, this weekend.  Ryman and Schermerhorn also have some incredible performers this weekend. This is your happenings for the weekend in Nashville,  TN.

At the Schermerhorn this weekend, you have an incredible performance. Pianist Aaron Diehl arrives at the Schermerhorn Symphony Center with the Nashville Symphony in a mix of Jazz meets Classical.  The performance consists of Schubert's Unfinished  and The Zodiac Suite. The performance is Friday and Saturday, March 14th, and 15th at 7:30 pm. This is one performance to see, especially with a full moon.

The Ryman offers a great lineup with a podcast and amazing musicians this weekend. Here is your lineup for this weekend at the Church.

Friday, March 14th, 2025 - Last Podcast On The Left at 8:00 pm. This dives into all things horror. Marcus Parks, Henry Zebrowski, and Ed Larson take the stage with some deep discussion weird and unusual events.

Saturday, March 15th, 2025 - Prestigious Jazz artists Trombone Shorty & Orleans Avenue arrive in Nashville on Saturday evening.   The show begins at 8:00 pm.

Sunday, March 16th, 2025 - Matt Nathanson and his thirty years of music arrive at the church.   The performance begins at 7:00 pm.

For dining prior to these events, there are plenty of options throughout the city. Restaurants that I have enjoyed prior to events that were recommended to me by post-it notes include  Two Hands near the Gulch offers a Australian themed dining experience,  Epice in 12th Avenue South are tasty Lebanese dining with a great ambiance,  Butcher and Bee in East Nashville with great Tapas,  and Hall's Chophouse on West End for Steakhouse which is originally based out of Charleston, SC.

For drop-off near downtown, look at 6th and Broadway. For the pick-up location at the end of the evening, walk up to 8th and Broadway. Basketball,  classical music,  legendary artists,  and incredible dining it is another fantastic weekend in Nashville, TN. #ridingwithkurt
