Happenings This Weekend in Nashville, TN

This weekend will be busy with live music and sports. Whether you are looking for bluegrass, classical, soccer, basketball, or baseball. Here is a list of things going on in Nashville this weekend.

The iconic Bluegrass music artist Billy Strins will be performing at Bridgestone Arena. He will be performing both Friday and Saturday nights. The concert will begin at 7:30 pm.

The Schermerhorn with the Nashville Symphony along with Violinist Jennifer Koh will be performing Elgar's Enigma. The series runs Thursday through Saturday, February 22nd-24th. The concert begins each night at 7:30 pm.

Nashville's soccer club Nashville SC will be hosting New York RB on Sunday. If you're a fan of soccer, then this is a fun opportunity to be a part of. For pick up, if you're using Uber, there is a designated area for drop-off and pick-ups located on the south side of the stadium.

For basketball, both Vanderbilt and Belmont have games this Saturday. Vanderbilt hosts the Florida Gators, and the game begins at 12 o'clock on Saturday at Memorial Gymnasium. Belmont Bruins will be hosting Missouri State on Saturday at 5 pm. The game will be held at the Curb event center.

Vanderbilt University Baseball will also be playing this weekend hosting Gonzaga University on Friday through Sunday. Fridays game begins at 4:30 pm, Saturdays game is at 2:00 pm , and Sundays game is at 1:00 pm. The games will be held at Charles Hawkins Field.

If you'll be attending the Billy Strings or Schermerhorn concert, I generally recommend walking up to 8th and Broadway or over to the Omni Hotel for pickup if you are using Uber. Prior to the concert, there are plenty of great restaurants downtown, but if you're looking for a place that offers a little bit of everything, then check out Assembly Food Hall.
