The really neat thing about a visit to Nashville is all the unique areas. This town offers so many neat areas to explore. One such area is located around Houston Street in the Wedgewood Houston area of Nashville. If you're looking for fantastic dining that has been recommended to me by post-it notes, then this is a great area to check out.
Located about eight minutes from Broadway, there is a wide range of restaurants to dine at. From casual to upscale, you can find it all here. Additionally, there is a historical stop nearby as well as a great hotel. For dining options, here is a list of restaurants to try around Houston Street.
Bastion - Sophisticated dining with a set menu. The restaurant is 21 and up, and reservations are required.
Bar Jackalope - local brewery that offers great beers, snacks, and their own custom Burgers.
Never Never - Local dive located on Houston Street with a drink menu that is truly epic.
Dicey's Tavern - Located just around the corner from Houston Street offers excellent thin crust Chicago style pizza plus a great bar. Plus, a lunch try their Italian Submarine for a delectable sandwich that is awesome.

A historical stop nearby is Fort Negley. The Fort was built in 1862 after the Union Army seized the town of Nashville. It was finally used in the Battle of Nashville in 1864. Today, you can check out the Fort with the visitor center and the self guided tour.
For stays located on Houston Street, look at the Soho House. It's convenient to all these restaurants and historical stops in the area, plus only eight minutes to Broadway. This hotel is limited with the rooms and reservations through the hotel are highly recommend.
