Just off of Interstate 70 in Colorado about an hour outside the town of Denver you'll come across the town of Idaho Springs. This is a must stop for the BBQ at Smokin Yards BBQ. The menu offers offers a great variety of Southern/ BBQ menu items but two things off the menu you must try . One is the Brisket sandwich and the second is the pulled pork sandwich. Both are smoked in house and the flavor is unbelievable and some of the best BBQ I have ever had outside of Tennessee plus the Smokin Yards BBQ SAUCE is amazing. The sides are great we went with the fried okra and cole slaw which were both very good. Stopping here will give you a good start as you venture off into the Rockies.
