Jackson, Tennessee is a great stop along Interstate 40. It offers historical stops, restaurants and a several great points of interest to check out. Located in Madison County Tennessee it's about an hour and 30 minutes west of Nashville.
Some stops you'll want to check out include Casey Jones Museum which is dedicated to the icon locomotive engineer and even Disney did a comic movie about the Tennessean. The Tennessee Legends of Music is another great stop. A couple wineries here include Century Farm Winery and Crown Winery.
For a local eatery head to The Blacksmith Restaurant, Catfish Gallery, and for a full buffet experience head to Brooks Shaws Old Country Store. Brooks Shaws offers an amazing buffet and ice cream parlor that will always be a reminder how great the restaurant is and the large variety of cuisine is.
A stop in Jackson is as classic as Casey Jones himself and will leave you with a great memory of great history and food that the small Western Tennessee town has to offer.
