Mackinac Island, MI

The island of Mackinac is located in the northern Michigan and a stop that you won't forget. It offers prestine beauty along Lake Huron and a history going back to the French and Indian War. The island is only accessible by Ferry and with the summer season's limited opportunity to see this amazing island is based on the Michigan summer.

The island has two things you will want to take in. Staying at the Grand Hotel will give you a sense at how prestine this area is and a luxury that many other hotels can't offer. The hotel dates back to the 19th century and known as America's Summer Place. The hotel offers many experiences including Tea time, fine dining, tennis, boxce ball and a hospitality that many other Midwestern hotels can't offer.

The second is Fort Mackinac. The historic fort is home to a history dating back to 1780. It's located on Lake Huron and the peace of the views from the old Fort and reenactment experience will give you an idea how important this area was for much of early American History.

A visit to Mackinac Island will not disappoint your travel adventures and there are plenty of restaurants, shops, visitor shops, and views of a beautiful area of Michigan that will not disappoint.
