Growing up here in Nashville, you were limited on areas you could explore. Yesterday, I had many discussions with individuals who had lived here for some time or a couple of individuals who were originally from the Nashville area. One of these areas is East Nashville, which is located adjacent to downtown with the Cumberland River separating the two and one of the largest areas in metro Davidson County.
One street that offers four exceptional dining experiences located on McFerrin Avenue that were recommended to me by post-it note. Each one offers remarkable menus with food that is incredible. The four restaurants are The Pharmacy Burger Parlor and Beer Garden, Spicy Boys, Mas Tacos Por Favor, and Lyra. These four are worth the stop.
Pharmacy Burger Parlor and Beer Garden - The burgers are amazing and very creative. I have always enjoyed the Stroganoff Burger. It's a smashed patty with Mushroom Stroganoff Bechamel Sauce, Sour Cream, Carmalized Onions, and Swiss cheese. The fries are also very delicious. Plus, it's a great old-fashioned soda menu with tasty shakes and malts. The beer menu is also epic.
Mas Tacos Por Favor - A variety of various Tacos plus tasty Mexican Chicken Tortilla soups.
Lyra - A Mediterranean dining experience. The appetizers, hummus, sides, and entrees in this Mediterranean dining stop in East Nashville are awesome.
Spicy Boys - A Louisiana dining menu with great Po Boys and other Creole and Cajun influences and dishes.
After dining at one of these fine food stops, you can walk the streets of East Nashville and enjoy the unique area it has to offer. One of these spots is Relik Vintage, which is a vintage clothing store. It is located on McFerrin Avenue and offers everything Vintage.
McFerrin Avenue is about ten minutes from downtown Nashville. Shelby Bottoms, which offers an amazing Greenway, is eight minutes away. Add one of these fantastic dining restaurants in the heart of East Nashville on your next visit to Nashville, TN. #ridingwithkurt
