Monteagle, Sewanee, and Lynchburg, TN

Just off of Interstate 24 you'll find the town of Monteagle, TN. This a great area

to visit mainly as an area for a Sunday drive. For dining you can have lunch at the Jim Oliver's Smoke House restaurant. The restaurant offers great BBQ and sides, as well as, excellent fried pickles.

You can head south after lunch and visit Sewanee, TN. Sewanee has a very historic college there named after the town also called the University of the South. The old college has rustic stone buildings on its campus and a beauty as it sits on the Cumberland Plateau. Another stop there is the Sewanee Natural Bridge. The natural Bridge has stood the test of time and offers a quiet beauty in the forrest.

From there you can head on south on Highway 41a towards Winchester, TN to head to the final stop of Lynchburg, TN.

Lynchburg is home of the Jack Daniel's Distillery. This historic stop is a must stop and the quaint town is an icon for the state of Tennessee.

Highly recommend traveling this area in mid October as the foliage to the area is changing and in it's prime with leaf colors by late October.
