Newport, RI is a great place to travel to during the months of June to September. The historic city is about an hour south of the Capitol of Providence. There is plenty to see and do and the town will never disappoint. One restaurant you will want to dine at is 22 Bowen's. The prime steak house offers plenty of variety from classic steaks, to lobster, and of course sides that are to die for. For lunch it offers an amazing Lobster Roll. There are now two styles you can get which consists of warm garlic butter poached lobster, buttered grilled brioche OR cold lobster salad, lemon mayo, chives, romaine, buttered grilled Brioche both you will not be disappointed with.
The town itself offers a rich history from the sea town to the mansions. You can take advantage of the trolly tours which will offer tours of the great New England City. One stop that is a must is the Cliff Walk. Additionally, you can travel to Martha's Vineyard during the summer months from the town of Newport.
Many often overlook the town, area and state as a go to for travel but add to your bucket lists for a great New England memory.
