Opryland Hotel

Opryland Hotel is an Icon to the Nashville area. It is the largest hotel in America without a casino. The area around Opryland has plenty to see and do as well. Also, if it weren't for the founder, Nashville probably wouldn't have be on the map.

The hotel was built in 1977 and became as a true tourist destination in the 1980's and beyond. People flocked to the hotel to get a first hand experience to not only see the hotel but to get the experience of the Grand Ole Opry and the Opryland Theme Park. They would venture out on tour's to the surrounding Nashville area to Music Row, The Hermitage Hotel, the old Country Music Hall of Fame and other historical Nashville destination stops.

Today the hotel still offers that amazing experience and is a place you will want to make sure you see on your travel plans to Nashville. There are 21 restaurants on the property and all offer a diverse culinary experience. The various observatories offer a pristine experience with waterfalls, a river, plant life like no other place, live music and plenty of different trails throughout the 700,000 square foot hotel and convention center.

Outside the hotel there is other tourist stops including Cooters (for those that were a fan of Dukes and Hazard) Grand Ole Golf and Go Carts (offers two courses of putt putt and go carts), Opry Mills Mall, Grand Ole Opry, and Wille Nelson and Friends Museum just to name a few.

A stop to the Opryland Hotel will give you everlasting memories of Nashville and a step back to look at a place where Nashville tourism began.
