Growing up in Nashville, there are many places that offer great memories. Nashville is much different from the areas that I grew up in. There are still great areas you can check out that have stood the test of time or at least since I was a kid. One place is an area that I used to bike to and still offers the beauty of Nashville, TN.
Radnor Lake, located in Forrest Hills, offers a wide variety of trails, natural scenery, and wildlife. The park was established in 1973, and today, the park is over 1,300 acres. While visiting the park, you can see plenty of wildlife, including deer, turkey, owls, waterfowl, and plenty of other wildlife. Additionally, the park offers an amazing birds of prey program that brings you face to face with various aviary, including owls, hawks, eagles, and other incredible birds of prey. Each bird has its own habitat that provides their own need. The hours of the Aviary Education Center are limited. The hours are 10 am to 1 pm Wednesday and Saturday. The park itself is open seven days a week from 6 am. to 20 minutes after sunset. There is a great visitor center and is open to the public from 9:30 am to 6:00 pm.
The area of Green Hills is located nearby, and there are plenty of dining options nearby. Some that were recommended to me by post-it that I have had great dining experiences at include Green Hills Grill, Char, The Greenhouse, Crow's Nest, Corner Pub, ETC., Tazikis, Kalamata's , and Nordstrom Grill.
If you're looking for a hotel near Radnor Lake, there is a Hilton near the park about 10 to 15 minutes away. Located in Green Hills, close proximity to the mall and restaurants. This area is about 20 minutes away from the Nashville Airport, but after 3:00 pm, it's about 30 to 45 minutes with rush hour.
Radnor Lake is an amazing place that is dear to my heart. The park is located about 20 minutes from downtown Nashville. Nature and the serene beauty of the Lake are definitely a must stop if you're looking for some nature in the Nashville area. #ridingwithkurt
