Rainy Days In Nashville, TN and Thins To Do

Today, I was talking to a couple of my riders about what to do in Nashville when it rains here. With a possibility of a rainy Friday and Saturday, here is a list of activities or places to check out.

For tours, head to Ryman Auditorium and the Grand Ole Opry. Both offer behind the scenes tours, and the tours give you a history of each venue and the significance of each place played in music history in Nashville.

For the arts, head up to the Frist Art Museum. Several art exhibitions are on display, including monuments and myths, Afrofuturistic Visions, and the art of Shabazz Larkin. Additionally, Cheekwood offers excellent exhibits at the mansion in Belle Meade.

For the history of Nashville, head to the Parthenon located in Centennial Park. This icon in Nashville is a must-see. It's a recreation and the only replica of the one in Athens, Greece.

For music museums, there are four to check out. The Country Music Hall of Fame, The Musicians Hall of Fame, Johnny Cash Museum, and The African American Music Museum. All are fascinating and offer a great history to what the city of Nashville has become as music city USA. Plus, the Musicians Hall of Fame has the rare exhibition of John Lennon's lost guitar going on until Saturday, May 18th, 2024..

For a true experience that has historical significance for the city of Nashville, head to the Opryland Hotel. The hotel is the largest hotel and convention center in North America without a casino. It offers two atriums with gardens, waterfalls, fountains, and even a river. Plus there are plenty of restaurants and gift shops at the hotel.

This will be another busy and fun weekend in Nashville. These places should be added to your lists, especially if rain moves into the area. Plenty of great restaurants also located around each area mentioned above. #ridingwithkurt
