ummer is just around the corner, and it's time to start planning your vacations. Whether it's an experience out west, a trip to the South, or an adventure to the Mid-Atalantic or New England States. There are so many great places to check out throughout the United States. I have had several conversations about traveling throughout the United States for travel ideas for this summer over the past few days. Here are some stops to consider for travel ideas for this summer based on region which many were recommended to me by post-it notes.
If you want to look out west, then look at Bozeman, Montana, Idaho Falls, Idaho, or Colorado. For Idaho Falls and Bozeman, they are close to Yellowstone National Park. Both offer great hiking, outdoor activities nearby, and fly-fishing. When visiting Colorado, a show at Red Rocks Amphitheater is a must, while venturing down to Colorado Springs for a hike in Garden of the God's will leave you breathless.
If you're looking for the beach this summer, then there are, couple of areas that I recommend. The first is Fort Lauderdale and Boca Raton, Florida. Incredible white sandy beaches with beautiful clear water. Plus, a stop at one of my favorite restaurants in Boca with Luff's Fish House will not leave you disappointed. Charleston, SC, offers great history, beaches, and an awesome food scene. Two dining spots to check out include Wild Olive and Tomato Shed Cafe on John's Island, as well as a stop at Angel Oak o. John's Island, SC.
Finally, Rhode Island may not be on your radar, but Newport is a hidden gem for the summer. The Cliff Walk, The Mansions, the food scene, festivals, plus the ferry to both Block Island and Martha's Vineyard. One restaurant to add when visiting Newport is 22 Bowen's. This Prime Steakhouse on Bowen's wharf offers some of the best cuts of steak and incredible fresh seafood for New England dining aling with amazing views and superb service.
History, great food, amazing scenery, plus gives you an appreciation for the diversity of the geographic regions of America. Enjoy one or several of these places this summer for your next great travel adventure. #ridingwithkurt
