The Factory at Franklin, TN

Today, I was briefly in Franklin, TN, today taking a rider down to the area and picked up another one rider from a great venue that offers both shopping and dining.  Additionally,  it's only a short walk to the downtown Franklin area. The Factory at Franklin was originally built in 1929 as a manufacturing plant for stoves for the Dorch Stove Works.

Today, the former plant is a place that offers great dining experiences,  shopping,  history tours,  event space,  and farmers' markets.  Some of the restaurants you'll want to check out are:Etch - The original restaurant is located in downtown Nashville but recently opened up in The Factory. Chef Deb Paquette brings her world culinary talent to Franklin.  Daddy's Dog - Very creative hot dogs with the original location in the Nation's.  Edley's - Popular Barbecue stops in Nashville, offering all sorts of great smoked meats. Hattie B's - A popular hot chicken stop in Nashville that has opened up their spicy chicken in Franklin.  Five Daughters Bakery - An organic bakery experience with tasty treats found even in their locations in Nashville.

There are plenty of other great stops for food, but these are the ones that I have always enjoyed. Plus, a few were recommended to me in previous blogs by post-it notes.  Additionally the shopping is great with even some local influences with each shop including Made In Tennessee.

Plenty to see and do at the Factory at Franklin. Great food,  shopping,  and history in a great part of middle Tennessee to check out.  The Factory at Franklin is located 30 minutes south of downtown Nashville.  They are open from 7:00 am until 10:00 pm seven days a week.  Definitely add this great experience when looking at visiting the Franklin area.   #ridingwithkurt
