A visit to Nashville is unlike any other experience you'll ever find in tourist attractions in America. The mix of music, history, culture, food, and things to do is never ending. Beginning with a stay at The Grand Hyatt at 10th Avenue North and Broadway you are definitely in the heart and central location of having a incredible experience.
The Grand Hyatt was opened on October 1, 2020 and sits at the edge of Downtown Nashville as a forefront to many other places to see and do in downtown Nashville. From the second you enter the hotel you are met with Nashville hospitality and a luxury that defines what the hotel has established itself as. Whether you are looking for an amazing stay, spa experience, incredible dining experience from exclusive chef's, holiday events, New Years Eve and Day events this is the stay in Nashville for you. Especially on New Years Day when they host the Penguin Plunge which donates money to Oceana and Penguin habitat.
From check in to check out my experience at the hotel was professional, personal, and a memory that I'll never forget and ensure my future stays are with them. The location is great because you sit on 10th Avenue and you are 10 to 20 minutes walk away from great downtown Nashville experiences and things to do in the Music City.
To begin your experience in Nashville from The Grand Hyatt head from 10th Avenue North to Representative John Lewis Way which is also known as 5th Avenue North. This begins the fun area of honky tonks and live music. Amazing restaurants and bars can be found here. My favorite area includes the 5th and Broadway complex that has Assembly Food hall which includes local vendors that have local restaurants in the Nashville area (Prince's Hot Chicken, Velvet Taco, Desano Pizza, etc.) , Great restaurants including Hattie B's, Cava, and my favorite Tapas experience at Boqueria. Plus there is great shopping as well.
Across from the hotel you'll find the Frist Museum which offers a great art experience and widely featured expositions that get exposure and circulated world wide.
For the music enthusiasts head to the Country Music Hall of Fame. This museum offers you a great music experience from the beginning of Country Western to how music has developed to today. From early greats like Roy Acuff, to Elvis and Buddy Holly, to Kid Rock this museum is the place to add to your Nashville music history experience.
The epitome of music in Nashville began with the Ryman. The historic venue was home to 850 WSM which still airs today and the Grand Ole Opry. Much has changed but the historic concert venue still offers great live music events.
Bridgestone Arena is home to the Nashville Predators. From hockey to concerts this venue to mark on your calendar and places to stop as a venue to experience. Last night I experienced the Widespread Panic concert and found the walk from Bridgestone to The Grand Hyatt very easy.
The Broadway experience includes historic bars and live music from Legends Corner, Tootsies, Kids Rock Honky Tonk, Acme Feed and Seed, AJ's Good Time Bar, Rippy's, and many others.
Another great area to check out that is within walking distance of The Grand Hyatt is the Gulch. The area begins around 12th Avenue North and offers amazing restaurants and shops. Restaurants in the area include The 404, Burger Republic, The Pub (for the Irish experience), and several areas. The Wings Mural can be found hear as well.
A close drive or Uber ride from the hotel include The Parthenon, Vanderbilt University, Belmont University, Music Row, Belle Meade Winery, Cheekwood, 12th South, The Nashville Farmers Market, Tennessee State Museum, Opryland Hotel, Grand Ole Opry, and The Green Hills Mall. All these should be added to your lists of places to check out in the Nashville Area.
Staying at The Grand Hyatt will add a central location to stay, see great locations in the Nashville area, and have a luxurious experience all at the same time. Plus a easy walk or ride to everything Nashville has to offer.
Fantastic post!
