The Grand Ole Opry Nashville, TN

An icon in Nashville that I tell my riders about in Nashville is the Grand Ole Opry. Originally, it was performed at the Ryman Auditorium on 4th Avenue until 1974. In 1974, it changed locations and moved north about 9 miles to its present location. The popularity with this amazing music venue has included music greats from Johnny Cash, Little Jimmy Dickens, Loretta Lynn, Dolly Parton, Kenny Rogers, Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, and many more.

Today you can attend great concerts at the Grand Ole Opry. Additionally, they offer tours of the music venue. They have performances this weekend on Friday and Saturday with great artists, including Ricky Skaggs, Riders in the Sky, Craig Morgan, Eddie Montgomery, Home Free, Willie Carlisle, Big and Rich, Ashley Cooke, The Isaacs, Jeannie Seeley, and Gretchen Wilson. On Sunday, the Ballet Performance of Giselle will be performed at the Grand Ole Opry.

For Friday and Saturday night's performances the show begins at 7:00 pm. On Sunday the performance begins at 4:00 pm. Additionally, check out the Opryland Hotel only a short walk from the Grand Ole Opry. It's the largest hotel in North America without a casino. It offers two huge atrium with gardens, waterfalls, and fountains. There is a ride share pick-up located on the Cascades entrance of the hotel. Finally, the Opry Mills Mall offers plenty of restaurants and shopping that you can check out prior to attending the show at the Grand Ole Opry.
