For awesome Cajun food in the Downtown/ Gulch area, check out The Gumbo Bros. The menu offers great Louisiana classics. The owner was a rider of mine and is from Louisiana, so you know it's gonna be good. Started with Nanny's Seafood Gumbo. The Gumbo was excellent with large shrimp, Okra, peppers, onions, and a very good broth that had a good kick to it and topped with rice. For the main attraction, I had to go with the Shrimp Po Boy on the recommendation of the bar tender. The Shrimp were lightly fried and not too heavy. The bread was awesome. The Remoulade was some of the best I've ever had. The slaw that was served as a side was vinegar based and good as well. Extremely cool atmosphere, friendly staff, and great location to the Gulch and Downtown. It's definitely worth stopping by when you're in the area.
