If there is one place that I have received plenty of recommendations for, it is The Mockingbird Restaurant near The Gulch. Today, I stopped by to check it out and see for myself. The restaurant offers a great menu for brunch and dinner. The brunch menu consists of a variety of pastries, breakfast items, salads, fruit, and sandwiches. Today, I had their Cuban sandwich that consists of roast pork, ham, Swiss, spicy pickles, and mustard on a toasted baguette. This was a fantastic Cuban sandwich. Plenty of flavors in the roast pork, along with the ham and spicy pickles, made a great blend of flavor along with the Swiss and mustard. Served with delicious hand cut fries that have a delicious seasoning. The service was excellent, and the ambiance has a great vibe to the location. Definitely add this as a stop when visiting Nashville.
Nearby, there are some fun activities for all ages, including Puttshack and Pins Mechanical. Puttshack is a modern version of putt putt that offers some fun holes that even challenge the best. Pins Mechanical offers fun with arcade, duckpin bowling, pinball, and other great activities. There is plenty of shopping nearby in the Gulch located on 11th and 12th Avenue. Hotels nearby include the Grand Hyatt, W, and Thompson. This is a great area to explore when dining at the Mockingbird and making a day around the Gulch. #ridingwithkurt
