Downtown Nashville offers a combination of old and modern architecture. In 1900, a building was built that served as a train station and eventually as a hotel located on 10th Avenue. The Union Station Hotel is majestic in its architecture along with beauty inside.

During World War Two, the station served as a place service men, and women from the state of Tennessee would begin their journey over seas for America's fight for freedom. The train services would eventually end in 1979, and the building would be abandoned.
The Romanesque style architecture laid abandoned of this beautiful place for seven years. In 1986, after years of renovation, the hotel would eventually be open to the public. Today, the hotel is owned and operated by Marriott. The lobby of the hotel offers a 65-foot ceiling with beautiful decorate murals.
