Utah and Idaho

To get in a true two for one. Fly into Salt Lake City and head north to Idaho. Before you head north there is a must stop for a eatery that has even been featured on Food Network. Moochie's Meatballs and More the deli is located at 232 East 800 S in Salt Lake City. I went with the Philly Cheese Steak. It is probably the best Philly I have ever had. They are also famous for their Meatball Subs as well.

After visiting Moochie's jump on Interstate 15 and head North to the town of Idaho Falls. The Trek is about three hours but the views of the scenery on both sides of the Interstate are amazing and show you how vast and big both states are.

Idaho Falls is a gateway city. To the east you can travel to Jackson Hole and Yellowstone. Both places are under two hours away and the hotel prices I'm Idaho Falls are much cheaper than staying in Jackson Hole. But the place to visit is the area around Hesie Hot Springs. The South Fork of the Snake River is located here and offers plenty of hiking, fly fishing, fishing and scenery that is a outdoorsman dream. I spent two days on the river and caught my share of brown and rainbow trout. Jimmy's Fly Shop located in Idaho Falls can supply you with all your fly fishing and fishing needs and the owner will put you in the right direction.

For departure travel back to Salt Lake City and give extra time to visit the Great Salt Lake. This wonder of the world is both peaceful and amazing at the same time. Take time to take in the picturesque views and a beauty that I cannot describe. To add a personal memory you can write a message in the Sand by the Lake and know that many others will be touched by your message. Final restaurant stop before heading out is Roosters Brewing Company and Restaurant. Great menu items and a nice variety of brews including a couple gluten free items. The mango blood orange shelter is a must try.

Utah and Idaho have so much to offer and a definite bucket lists item because of how much both states offer.
