White Bluff, TN

My last ride last night ended up in Burns, TN. Burns is located about thirty-five minutes west of downtown Nashville. The individual and I chatted about the area and located nearby is White Bluff, TN. Near this area is an incredible State Park that offers incredible beauty with hiking, fishing, camping, cabins, lodge, and restaurant, plus White Bliff offers a couple of great dining options.

Montgomery Bell State Park is a must, especially during this time of year with the bloom of spring and everything the park has to offer for a true middle Tennessee outdoor experience. The Lodge at Montgomery Bell is a hotel located in the heart of the park. The restaurant offers a stunning view of the lake along with surrounding beauty. The menu offers southern classics along with appetizers, soups, salads, sandwiches, and entree items. There is great fishing around the park, and I have always had great success for Sunfish, Dream, and Bass. There are three lakes on the property, but the lake next to the Lodge offers also canoeing and pedal boats. There is a boat ramp for your own canoeing or non-motorized boat. Throughout the park, it offers great hiking and even a golf course. Plus, the park has a post-it note recommendation.

Outside the park is the town of White Bluff. There are a couple of dining options nearby. There is El Monte for Mexican dining, Paul's Pizza Palace, and Salt and Pepper Grill. Finally, there is one dining southern experience that one must add. The Beacon Light Tea Room is an epic stop from their southern treats, Fried Catfish, Country Ham, or ither delectable dishes. Located ten to fifteen minutes from Montgomery Bell State Park, the drive is worth the dining mantra moment you'll have here. These are local establishments that offer great dining experiences from a local perspective.

The area west of Nashville is definitely worth checking out. From an incredible State Park to local dives and dining experiences. You won't go wrong with a stay at The Montgomery Bell State Park and everything the area has to offer. #ridingwithkurt
